p-MEK-1 Antibody (47.Ser 222) is a mouse monoclonal IgA antibody that detects p-MEK-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-MEK-1 (47.Ser 222) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form and specifically recognizes Ser 222 phosphorylated MEK-1 and MEK-2, which are critical components of the MAP kinase signaling pathway. MEK-1, also known as MAP2K1, plays a vital role in cellular signaling by acting as a dual-specificity kinase that phosphorylates both threonine and tyrosine residues on downstream targets, particularly extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs). This phosphorylation activates ERKs, which drive various cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Precise regulation of MEK-1 activity through phosphorylation is crucial, as dysregulation can lead to oncogenic transformations and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Understanding p-MEK-1 function and regulation is important for developing targeted therapies and advancing knowledge of signal transduction mechanisms.
