    SEE ALSO...

Nidogen Antibody (JF3) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Nidogen in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. Nidogen, also known as Entactin, is a crucial sulfated glycoprotein that plays a significant role in the formation and stability of basement membranes, which are essential for tissue architecture and cellular organization. Anti-Nidogen antibody (JF3) recognizes a vital linker between key extracellular matrix components, specifically Laminin 1 and Collagen Type IV, facilitating their assembly into a functional matrix. Nidogen′s importance extends beyond structural support; this glycoprotein is involved in regulating cellular adhesion and signaling processes, particularly in mesenchymal peritubular and myoepithelial cells, where Nidogen influences cell behavior in an autocrine manner. Notably, Nidogen is highly conserved across species, and Nidogen expression is tightly regulated during embryonic and fetal development, being present exclusively in fully developed ectodermal basement membranes. This specificity underscores Nidogen′s critical role in developmental biology and tissue integrity, making Nidogen (JF3) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for researchers studying extracellular matrix dynamics and related cellular processes.

I am using Nidogen (JF3): sc-57002 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
