Nestin Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects nestin from mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-nestin antibody (D-9) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Nestin is a crucial intermediate filament protein predominantly expressed in embryonic central nervous system progenitor cells, playing a vital role in structural integrity and function. Nestin serves as a marker for neuroepithelial stem cells, glioma cells, and tumor endothelial cells during periods of rapid growth, and contributes to axon elongation in differentiating neurons, where nestin localizes to growth cones, potentially influencing growth cone guidance. In the rat adrenal gland, nestin expression appears in the zona fasciculata and zona reticularis, as well as in dermatomal cells and myoblasts during early stages of myogenesis, underscoring nestin′s diverse roles in development and tissue regeneration.
