MAP-2 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAP-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAP-2 (A-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MAP-2 protein plays a crucial role in stabilizing microtubules, which are essential components of the cytoskeleton, providing structural support and facilitating intracellular transport. Located primarily in neuronal cell bodies and dendrites, MAP-2 is vital for maintaining neuronal architecture integrity and regulating microtubule dynamics.
