    SEE ALSO...

ICSBP Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ICSBP (Interferon consensus sequence-binding protein, also known as Interferon regulatory factor 8; IRF-8) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ICSBP plays a crucial role as a transcription factor in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the signaling pathways mediated by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) during the differentiation of dendritic cells and macrophages. The importance of ICSBP lies in modulating TLR (Toll-like receptor) signaling through physical interaction with TRAF6, which occurs between amino acid residues 356 and 305. This interaction enhances the cross-talk between IFN-γ and TLR pathways and contributes to the overall immune response. ICSBP antagonizes the oncogenic Bcr/Abl fusion protein by downregulating Bcl-2, thereby influencing cell survival and apoptosis. As a member of the interferon regulatory factor family, which includes IRF-1, IRF-2, and ISGF-3, ICSBP contains a conserved DNA-binding domain in its N-terminal region and a regulatory domain in its C-terminal region, allowing binding to the interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE) and regulation of IFN-α and IFN-β expression. Anti-ICSBP antibody (B-4) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying immune regulation and the molecular mechanisms underlying various immune responses.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393676 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
