SEE ALSO...

ERGIC-53 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ERGIC-53 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERGIC-53 (F-3) antibody is available in various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ERGIC-53 protein, also known as LMAN1, plays a crucial role in intracellular transport of glycoproteins, specifically those with high mannose-type glycans, from the endoplasmic reticulum to the ER-Golgi intermediate compartment. ERGIC-53 functions as a mannose-specific lectin, recognizing sugar residues on glycoproteins and glycolipids, thereby facilitating their sorting and recycling within the cell. Proper functioning of ERGIC-53 is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring efficient protein trafficking; ERGIC-53 deficiency can lead to severe consequences, such as a rare autosomal recessive bleeding disorder characterized by a combined deficiency of coagulation factors V and VIII. Using anti-ERGIC-53 antibody (F-3) in research can provide valuable insights into glycoprotein transport mechanisms and ERGIC-53 dysfunction implications in various diseases.
