    SEE ALSO...

ECSCR Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ECSCR protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-ECSCR antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ECSCR, also known as endothelial cell-specific chemotaxis regulator, ARIA, or ECSM2, is a 205 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that plays a crucial role in endothelial cell function. Located primarily in endothelial cells and blood vessels, ECSCR is essential for regulating endothelial chemotaxis and tube formation, which are vital processes in angiogenesis and tissue repair. ECSCR interacts with Filamin 1, influencing cytoskeletal dynamics necessary for cell migration and shape changes. ECSCR modulates signaling pathways involved in cell survival and migration by suppressing tyrosine phosphorylation and reducing activity of the Shc-Ras-ERK pathway, thereby inhibiting epidermal growth factor receptor-mediated cell migration. This unique regulatory function positions ECSCR as a key player in both endothelial apoptosis and angiogenesis, with implications for various angiogenesis-related diseases. ECSCR′s evolutionary conservation underscores its importance in vascular biology and potential therapeutic targets in conditions characterized by abnormal angiogenesis.
