DsRed 抗体

DsRed2抗体（25）是一种IgG1 κ小鼠单克隆DsRed2抗体（也称为红色荧光蛋白抗体、DsRed2抗体、荧光蛋白抗体、DsRed 2A/K5E/K9T/V105A/I161T/S197A抗体、可视报告抗体、选择标记抗体、荧光选择或Discosoma sp DsRed2抗体），可检测DsRed2蛋白。DsRed2抗体（25）既可作为非共轭抗DsRed2抗体形式，也可作为多种共轭形式的抗DsRed2抗体，包括琼脂糖、HRP、PE、FITC和多种Alexa Fluor®共轭物。在细菌、昆虫和哺乳动物宿主中表达真核基因编码区的质粒载体是常用的；这些表达载体经常用于编码由真核靶蛋白和专为荧光可视化设计的特殊区域组成的杂交融合蛋白。常见的荧光标签包括绿色荧光蛋白（GFP）和红色荧光蛋白2（DsRed2），这是DsRed的一种变体。DsRed2具有高信噪比和独特的光谱特性，使其成为各种蛋白质的有用融合标签。

What’s the difference between DsRed and DsRed2?

DsRed2 is a variant of the original red fluorescent protein (DsRed), but it has been slightly modified with point mutations that improve the solubility and decrease the time from transfection to detection. DsRed2 has a very high signal-to-noise ratio.

Can this antibody be used to detect other red fluorescent proteins such as RFP or mCherry?

The signal is good but some bands originating from degradation are not recognized (see figure. Antibody used at 1/1000). These bands are important for me as I study protein degradation so I will not use it because of that.
