Can DDR2 (3B11E4): sc-81707 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, DDR2 (3B11E4): sc-81707 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DDR2-AF546 for IF for mouse heartI purchased DDR2-AF546 and tried it for direct IF for mouse heart. There was no specific staining at 1:100, 1:50, 1:25, 1:10 and 1:5 dilution. Antibody from other company was used as a positive control.

Although there was moderate backgorund signal due to mouse on mouse staining, positive signal was detected compared to mouse IgG sample. sample: cryosection of mouse heart(pre-fix). blocking: M.O.M. kit (other vendor). primary ab: 1/50, 4 degree O/N. 2nd ab: anti-Mouse Alexa 594 or 633.
