Is there a blocking peptide for Anti-CB2/Cannabinoid Receptor 2/CNR2 Antibody (3C7): sc-293188 and for sc-518035?

Will this antibody (sc-293188) work with IHC-P?

Thank you for your question. Anti-CB2/Cannabinoid Receptor 2/CNR2 Antibody (3C7): sc-293188 is only recommended for detection of CB2 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. Based on our tests we do not recommend it for IHC(P) applications.

will this antibody work with mouse CB2?

I am using CB2 (3C7): sc-293188 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It doesn't work in miceWe have checked the antibody in spleen from wild type and CB2KO mice, by western blot. It did not show any signal which disappeared in the CB2KO samples. A non-specific signal appeared at 60KDa in both wild type and CB2KO samples.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to rate this ab at this time.The CB2 receptor notoriously hard to pinpoint! Like all other commercial antibodies, this 3C7 antibody also shows a bright band at 60 kDa. But is it CB2? Is glycosylation really responsible for increase in the MW of the band? The predicted MW is only 40 kDa and the glycosylated form should be no more than 46 kDa. I did ICC with the same antibody. The staining mainly cytoplasmic not membrane. So, while the antibody obviously recognizes the fusion protein correctly as CB2 as shown by the data sheet, the 60 kDa I see in my cells and in the cells in the data sheet may or may not be CB2 receptor. I think SCBT should repeat the lysate blotting after peptide block to see if the 60 kDa band disappears.
