SEE ALSO...

c-IAP1 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects c-IAP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). c-IAP1 Antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-IAP1, also known as BIRC2, plays a crucial role in regulating apoptosis, which is the process of programmed cell death essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and immune responses. By inhibiting apoptosis, c-IAP1 helps prevent premature cell death, particularly during inflammation and infection, allowing survival of immune cells necessary for an effective immune response. This function is particularly important in cancer, where apoptosis evasion can contribute to tumor growth and therapy resistance. c-IAP1 achieves anti-apoptotic effects through interactions with key signaling molecules, including TRAF1 and TRAF2, involved in the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling pathway. c-IAP1′s ability to modulate these interactions highlights significance in both normal physiological processes and pathological conditions, making c-IAP1 a valuable target for therapeutic interventions.
