白三烯 B4（LTB4）可促进白细胞的多种功能，包括聚集、产生超氧阴离子、刺激离子通路、趋化和趋化。两种 G 蛋白偶联受体（BLT1 和 BLT2）介导 LTB4 的作用。这种化学物质是 BLT2 的一种选择性强效完全激动剂，其 EC50 值为 20 nM（1）。在浓度大于 1 µM 时，它不会取代[3H]-LTB4 与 BLT1 的结合，并且在明显低于 LTB4 的浓度下激活 BLT2（EC50 = 170 nM）（1）。在表达 BLT2 的中国仓鼠卵巢（CHO）细胞中，这种化学物质剂量依赖性地增加细胞内钙储存并诱导 ERK 磷酸化，而对表达 BLT1 的 CHO 细胞则无影响（1）。
