2-Linoleoyl-1-palmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is a phospholipid that is found in a variety of biological systems, including human cells. It is an important component of cell membranes and plays a role in numerous biochemical and physiological processes. It is a major component of the phospholipid bilayer, and is involved in the formation of lipid rafts. It is also involved in the formation of membrane-associated protein complexes, and in the regulation of membrane-associated signaling pathways. It can be used as a starting material for the synthesis of other phospholipids and as a surfactant for the extraction of proteins from biological systems.
