LRRFIP1 Antibody (G-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LRRFIP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LRRFIP1 (G-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LRRFIP1, also known as GCF2, consists of 738 amino acids and plays a crucial role as a transcriptional repressor, preferentially binding to the GC-rich consensus sequence (5′-AGCCCCCGGCG-3′). This function is significant as LRRFIP1 may regulate the expression of key growth factors such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), and platelet-derived growth factor A (PDGF-A), thereby influencing cellular responses to injury and proliferation, particularly in smooth muscle cells. The N-terminus of LRRFIP1 exhibits high homology to the coiled-coil domain of FLAP, a protein that interacts with the leucine-rich repeat (LRR) of Flightless I, suggesting a potential link between the actin cytoskeleton and RNA in mammalian cells. LRRFIP1 has a high affinity for double-stranded RNA, binding with significant strength, while showing weak interaction with double-stranded DNA and minimal binding to single-stranded nucleic acids. The identification of the RNA binding domain, which includes a lysine-rich motif, further underscores LRRFIP1′s importance in RNA-related processes within the cell.
