Sodium Fluoride (NaF) is an inhibitor of serine/threonine phosphatases. Induces endothelial cell dysfunction as indicated by increased albumin permeability and decreased transcellular electrical resistance. Sodium Ffuoride is also an activator of G proteins and has been widely studied in bone and dental research.

This is demonstrated by comparing lambda protein phosphatase treated NIH/3T3 cells with those that have been treated with both protein phosphatase and sodium fluoride. An increase in signal of phosphorylated NFkB p50 can be observed in the nucleus by IF. -SCBT QC
