SEE ALSO...

NFAT5 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects NFAT5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NFAT5 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. NFAT5 plays a crucial role in cellular responses to osmotic stress and is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, particularly in kidney cells. NFAT5 is localized primarily in the nucleus, where NFAT5 regulates the expression of genes involved in osmotic regulation and inflammation. NFAT5′s ability to translocate to the nucleus in response to changes in osmotic pressure highlights NFAT5′s importance in cellular adaptation to environmental stressors. NFAT5 interacts with other proteins, such as the transcription factor AP-1, to form complexes that modulate gene expression, thereby influencing various physiological processes. NFAT5 activation is mediated by increases in intracellular calcium levels, which trigger NFAT5 dephosphorylation by calcineurin, leading to a conformational change that exposes NFAT5′s nuclear localization signal. This process enables NFAT5 translocation from the cytosol to the nucleus, allowing NFAT5 to exert regulatory functions effectively.
