NAD+, Free Acid is a major electron acceptor molecule in biological oxidation reactions. In addition to acting as an oxidizing agent, NAD+, Free Acid can also act as a signaling molecule as well as a cofactor or substrate for many enzymes. NAD+, Free Acid is essential for the activity of several enzymes including poly(ADP)-ribose polymerases and cADP-ribose synthases. NAD+, Free Acid is used by some sirtuins to mediate protein deacetylation, producing O-acetyl-ADP-ribose and nicotinamide as well as the deacetylated protein.

I'd like to know the size of this enzyme in micron/nanometers and what the size of your smallest NAD+ or NMN enzyme/molecule is. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WangWang, GD. et al. (PubMed 25813057) findings suggest -NAD ( -Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide; NAD+, Free Acid) is a ligand for the adenosine A1 receptor subtype expressed by neurons in the enteric nervous system. The influence of -NAD on intestinal motility emerges from adenosine A1 receptor-mediated suppression of neurotransmitter release at inhibitory neuromuscular junctions. -SCBT Publication Review
