ELUGENT™ Detergent, 50% Solution is a non-ionic detergent composed of a mixture of alkyl glucosides. Like n-octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside and TRITON X-100 Detergent, it is useful for solubilization and purification of membrane-bound proteins. ELUGENT™ Detergent, 50% Solution is a relatively low-cost alternative to n-octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside and n-octyl-beta-D-maltoside in large-scale solubilizations. HLB number: 13.1.
