QUICK LINKS

2-(2-Hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)benzotriazole is an intermediate reactant in the synthesis of UV light absorbers for polyester fibers. It is used in microstereophotolithography of miniaturized actuators, in PVS and wood / PVC composites as a stabilizer and in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene as a UV absorber. Belongs to the group of hydroxyphenylbenzotriazoles. Its chemical stability can be assessed through analytical methods such as matrix effect or dispersive solid-phase extraction studies.
