Nitrocellulose Membranes, Unsupported – UltraCruz^®

UltraCruz^® Nitrocellulose Membranes, Unsupported are recommended for nucleic acid and immunoblotting assays, Western blot, dot blot, chromogenic and chemiluminescent detection systems. Unsupported nitrocellulose membrane is made of 100% pure nitrocellulose and is free of cellulose acetate ensuring highest binding capacity and sensitivity with low background for optimal protein, peptide, DNA or RNA analysis. Pure nitrocellulose membrane with 0.22 µm pore size is ideal for electrophoretic transfer of low molecular weight proteins that are less than 13 kilodaltons or peptides and nucleic acids with less than 300 base pairs while the more commonly used membrane with pore size of 0.45 µm is recommended for transferring proteins with molecular weight between 13 kDa - 400 kDa or peptides and nucleic acids with greater than 300 bp. Nitrocellulose Pure Transfer Membranes are compatible with isotopic, chemiluminescent luminol, colorimetric, and fluorescence imaging. Unsupported nitrocellulose membrane is not suitable stripping and reprobing applications.
