    SEE ALSO...

RBQ-3 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects RBQ-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RBQ-3 (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. RBQ-3, also known as retinoblastoma binding protein 5 (RBBP5) or SWD1, is a 538 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation by functioning as a component of the Set1 complex. Six WD repeats characterize RBQ-3, which are structural motifs facilitating protein-protein interactions essential for various cellular processes, including chromatin assembly and signal transduction. Nuclear localization of RBQ-3 enables interaction with key regulatory factors involved in cell cycle control and apoptosis. RBQ-3 preferentially binds to underphosphorylated forms of the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, highlighting a potential role in tumor suppression. Upon DNA damage, ATM or ATR phosphorylates RBQ-3, which may influence cellular function and interactions.

Can RBQ-3 (F-7): sc-271072 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. Yes, RBQ-3 (F-7): sc-271072 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
