O-Ac GD3 Antibody (7H2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the O-Ac GD3 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-O-Ac GD3 antibody (7H2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for different experimental needs. O-Ac GD3, also known as O-acetylated GD3 ganglioside, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and the growth of malignant cells, making O-Ac GD3 significant in cancer research. O-Ac GD3 is primarily located on the cell surface of certain neural, neural crest, and renal cells, where O-Ac GD3 contributes to cellular interactions and signaling pathways. O-Ac GD3 on the cell surface is important for mediating cell-to-cell communication and may influence tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, GD3 Synthase, the enzyme responsible for the synthesis of GD3, is localized in the Golgi apparatus and is a member of the glycosyltransferase family 29, highlighting GD3 Synthase′s essential role in the biosynthesis of gangliosides. O-Ac GD3 monoclonal antibody (7H2) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the functional implications of gangliosides in cellular processes and disease mechanisms.
