I get multiple bands at different molecular weights. What are these bands (splicing variants or post-translational forms)?

Thank you for your question. There are numerous product citation using this antibody in Western blot which you could refer to for additional information about the molecular weight detected using the antibody. This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody which is now discontinued. We would recommend trying our recommended replacement mouse monoclonal antibody, sc-8396: cyclin D1 (A-12). In general, a monoclonal antibody is much more specific and provides consistent reproducible data, compared to polyclonal antibodies which are subject to lot-to-lot variation.

I have got multiple bands at different molecular weight (similar to that image in the page of cyclin D1 M-20,718). What are these bands (splicing variants or post-translational forms)?Do I include them all in my calculations? Do you have more specific AB?
