CREM Antibody (22) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to detect CREM, also known as cAMP response element modulator, of human origin across a variety of applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CREM antibody (22) is raised against recombinant human CREM and is available in both non-conjugated form and multiple conjugated forms such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® variants, catering to diverse experimental requirements. CREM is a critical member of the ATF/CREB family of transcription factors, which regulate gene transcription by binding to cAMP response elements within promoter and enhancer regions. CREM undergoes essential post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which play a vital role in modulating transcriptional activity, stability, and interactions with other proteins. These modifications are crucial for CREM′s involvement in key biological processes, such as male fertility, where CREM function is indispensable, as evidenced by infertility in male mice lacking a functional CREM gene. In the testis, CREM′s transcriptional activity is regulated through interaction with the tissue-specific partner ACT (activator of CREM in the testis), and this interaction is further controlled by the testis-specific kinesin KIF17b, highlighting the significance of post-translational regulation. Additionally, CREM (22) monoclonal antibody exhibits reactivity with CREM proteins from other species, including canine and Syrian hamster, enhancing utility in comparative studies. By enabling detailed investigation of CREM′s role in gene expression and regulation through post-translational modifications, CREM (22) antibody serves as an essential tool for researchers exploring cellular signaling pathways and reproductive biology.
