Datasheets
  • CLIC6 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 163-195 within an internal region of CLIC6 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of CLIC6 of mouse and rat origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CLIC6 Antibody (H-5) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CLIC6 Antibody (H-5) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

CLIC6 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects chloride intracellular channel 6 (CLIC6) in mouse and rabbit samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLIC6 functions as a probable chloride ion channel, playing a significant role in the regulation of chloride ion transport, particularly in water-secreting cells. This regulation is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating various physiological processes, including fluid secretion and ion balance. CLIC6 is distinguished from other members of the chloride channel family by its unique structure; CLIC6 is significantly longer and features a GC-rich segment that encodes a 10 amino acid motif repeated 14 times at the amino-terminus. Additionally, the CLIC6 gene exhibits a rare instance of large-scale segmental paralogy, with a substantial segment on human chromosome 21 being triplicated on chromosomes 1 and 6. CLIC6 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm but translocates to the plasma membrane upon chloride ion efflux, highlighting a dynamic role in cellular signaling. CLIC6 is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, placenta, pancreas, and liver, and has been shown to interact with dopamine receptors DRD2, DRD3, and DRD4, further underscoring an importance in cellular communication and signaling pathways. CLIC6 is a 704 amino acid protein with two known isoforms, A and B, and is also referred to as parchorin in rabbit models.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365079 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
