Datasheets
  • BVDV Antibody (13/G4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ BVDV antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against a lysate of cow cells infected with the Nadl isolate of BVDV
  • BVDV Antibody (13/G4) is recommended for detection of the p125/p80 non-structural region of Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus by IP and ELISA
  • Anti-BVDV Antibody (13/G4) is available conjugated to agarose for IP; HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA; and to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 for WB (RGB), IF, IHC(P) and FCM, and for use with RGB fluorescent imaging systems, such as iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • also available conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 680 or Alexa Fluor® 790 for WB (NIR), IF and FCM; for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR®Odyssey®, iBright™ FL1000, FluorChem™, Typhoon, Azure and other comparable systems
  • m-IgG2a BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for BVDV Antibody (13/G4). These reagents are now offered in bundles with BVDV Antibody (13/G4) (see ordering information below).

BVDV Antibody (13/G4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the BVDV protein of NSR origin by immunoprecipitation (IP) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BVDV (13/G4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BVDV, or bovine viral diarrhea virus, is a significant viral pathogen affecting ruminants such as cattle, bison, yaks, deer, and goats, belonging to the pestivirus genus. BVDV protein plays a crucial role in the virus′s ability to evade the host′s immune response, which is vital for persistence and pathogenicity. Understanding BVDV protein structure is essential, as specific domains facilitate interaction with host cell receptors, allowing viral entry and replication within the host. These structural features not only aid in viral infectivity but also present potential targets for therapeutic intervention and vaccine development. Infection with BVDV can lead to a range of clinical symptoms, including fever, diarrhea, pneumonia, lameness, abortion, and decreased milk production, with persistently infected calves posing a significant risk for virus transmission within livestock populations.
