SEE ALSO...

β-Arrestin-2 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects β-Arrestin-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). β-Arrestin-2 plays a crucial role in regulating G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), which are vital for various physiological processes, including neurotransmission and hormone signaling. β-Arrestin-2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and at postsynaptic sites of neurons, where β-Arrestin-2 interacts with GPCRs to facilitate receptor desensitization and internalization, thereby modulating cellular responses to external signals. β-Arrestin-2′s cellular location enables scaffold formation for signaling complexes, influencing downstream signaling pathways and ensuring proper cellular communication. β-Arrestin-2 has been shown to interact with various proteins, including βARK (β-adrenergic receptor kinase), which further underscores β-Arrestin-2′s significance in regulating receptor-mediated signaling. β-Arrestin-2 expression is predominantly observed in spleen and neuronal tissues, and β-Arrestin-2′s modulation by intracellular cAMP levels highlights a novel mechanism for fine-tuning receptor responses, making β-Arrestin-2 a critical component in studying GPCR signaling pathways.
