SEE ALSO...

BCMA Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BCMA protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BCMA (D-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. B cell maturation protein (BCMA), also known as BCM and tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 17, is a type I integral membrane protein encoded by a gene located on chromosome band 16p13.1. BCMA protein plays a crucial role in the survival and differentiation of B cells, as BCMA is specifically expressed in mature B lymphocytes and is localized to the cis part of the Golgi apparatus. BCMA protein is essential for regulating B cell homeostasis and has been implicated in various immune responses, particularly in autoimmune diseases and B cell malignancies. BCMA protein interacts with APRIL and TALL-1, which are important for B cell proliferation and survival, highlighting BCMA′s significance in maintaining B cell populations and influencing immune system dynamics. BCMA′s structural features, including a cysteine-rich domain, allow BCMA to share significant homology with TACI (transmembrane activator), further underscoring BCMA′s role in B cell signaling pathways.
