O Anticorpo 8-OHdG (15A3) é um anticorpo 8-OHdG monoclonal de camundongo IgG2b que detecta 8-OHdG (8-hidroxi-2'-desoxiguanosina, 8-hidroxiguanina e 8-hidroxiguanosina) por IF, IHC(P) e ELISA. O anticorpo 8-OHdG (15A3) está disponível na forma de anticorpo anti-8-OHdG não conjugado. Os danos ao DNA ou ao RNA podem prejudicar a capacidade de uma célula de realizar sua função e podem elevar significativamente a probabilidade de formação de tumores. Uma das causas de danos ao DNA e ao RNA é a oxidação das bases. A 8-hidroxi-2'-deoxiguanosina, a 8-hidroxiguanosina (8-OHdG) e a 8-hidroxiguanosina são marcadores de danos oxidativos ao RNA e ao DNA. A 8-hidroxi-2'-deoxiguanosina é produzida por espécies reativas de oxigênio e nitrogênio, incluindo o radical hidroxila e o peroxinitrito. A 8-hidroxiguanina é uma das principais lesões de base envolvidas na mutagênese e é causada por radiação ionizante e agentes radiomiméticos. A 8-hidroxi-guanosina induz uma transversão de G para T no DNA, que pode ser mutagênica. Os marcadores de danos ao DNA e ao RNA são ferramentas de pesquisa úteis para estudar os efeitos desse tipo de dano.

I have tried 1:50 ,1:100 and 1:200 dilutions for immunofluorescence in human endometrial tissue samples. only cytoplasmic and perinuclear staining was seen. nuclear staining was not observed. please advice.

Can u tell me what dilution range should i use to obtain nuclei staining in breast carcinoma cell? Bcs I've already tried 1:50,100,200 still stains the cytoplasm, not nuclei. Myb there is a step-by-step guide that I can read. Thanks

Please advice me. I use 8-OHdG Antibody (15A3) sc-66036 to perform IHC on breast carcinoma cell (PE). Can you tell me where 8-OHdG should stain the cell, is it in nuclei or cytoplasm? Because I've tried many dilution range but still in cytoplasm.

Hello. I have mouse brain sections made in vibratome and my question is, Which is the ideal antibody to detect 8-OHdG in this kind of samples? Can i use this one?

Hello, I am using sc-66036 for western blot: what is the expected molecular weight of the band? And what does it tell me (is it genomic DNA? oxidized proteins?)? Thank you.

Thank you for your question. 8-oxo-dG is a marker for oxidative stress in a cell. This antibody is not recommended for western blotting, as there would be no distinct protein this antibody detects. It is designed for IF, IHC(P) and ELISA applications.

Hi, in how many patients tissues  can we use one 8-OHdG Antibody (15A3): sc-66036 for the estimation of number of sample size in study?

Thank you for your question. The antibody is provided as 200µg in 1ml. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:100 for Western blot, and 1:50 for IHC applications, so it's very hard to estimate how many experiments you can perform with one vial.

Can I use 8-OHdG Antibody (15A3)sc-66036 to perform immunohistochemistry/immunofluroscence on zebrafish brain and also suggest the secoundry antibody for the same.

Thank you for your question. Yes, this antibody is suitable for IF/IHC(P), and there is no specific species reactivity since this antibody detects 8-OHdG, a marker of oxidative damage to RNA and DNA. We are aware of one product citation using this antibody in zebrafish samples. Please refer to PMID: 28550782 for the details. We would recommend using one of our fluorescently conjugated mouse IgG kappa binding proteins as a secondary antibody for detection.
