3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine dihydrochloride anhydrous is a salt form of 3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB). 3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) is a peroxidase substrate suitable for use in ELISA procedures, producing soluble bend products usually pale blue in color with spectrophotometric activity at 370 or 620-650 nm. Substrate activity is halted with addition of 2M H2SO4 and read at 450 nm.
