SEE ALSO...

ZNF224 Antibody (2C12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the ZNF224 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZNF224 (2C12) antibody is available as a non-conjugated anti-ZNF224 monoclonal isotype antibody. Zinc finger protein 224 (ZNF224), also known as BMZF2, KOX22, ZNF233, ZNF255, or ZNF27, is a 707 amino acid member of the Krüppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, primarily localized in the nucleus. ZNF224 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation due to its structure, which includes eighteen C2H2-type zinc fingers and one KRAB domain. The presence of these zinc fingers allows ZNF224 to bind to specific DNA sequences, thereby influencing gene expression. ZNF224′s interaction with the KRAB domain facilitates the recruitment of histone-modifying proteins, which are essential for chromatin remodeling and gene silencing. ZNF224 is predominantly expressed in fetal tissues and has been shown to interact with Wilms tumor 1 (WT1), a key regulator in kidney development and tumorigenesis, thereby modulating its transactivation capabilities. This functional interplay highlights ZNF224′s importance in developmental processes and potential implications in cancer biology.
