    SEE ALSO...

ZNF202 Antibody (GG-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZNF202 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZNF202 (GG-7) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. ZNF202 protein, also known as zinc finger protein 202 or ZKSCAN10, is a 648 amino acid protein characterized by eight C2H2-type zinc fingers, one KRAB domain, and one SCAN box domain, which are crucial for function as a transcriptional repressor. ZNF202 is primarily localized in the nucleus and highly expressed in the testis, where ZNF202 plays a significant role in regulating genes involved in lipid metabolism. Through modulating expression of various proteins, including those related to lipoprotein particles, lipid transporters, and enzymes involved in lipid processing, ZNF202 is essential for maintaining lipid homeostasis and energy metabolism. Defects in the gene encoding ZNF202 have been linked to high cholesterol levels and may contribute to the development of lung, ovarian, and breast cancers. Two isoforms of ZNF202, designated alpha and beta, arise from alternative splicing, further highlighting the complexity and regulatory potential of this protein.

Can sc-101074: ZNF202 (GG-7) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-101074: ZNF202 (GG-7) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
