ZGPAT Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects ZGPAT protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZGPAT (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ZGPAT protein, also known as zinc finger CCCH domain-containing protein 9 (ZC3HDC9) and G patch domain-containing protein 6 (GPATC6), is a 531 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a G-patch domain, which is commonly associated with RNA-binding proteins. This domain is crucial for ZGPAT′s function in RNA processing and regulation, highlighting ZGPAT′s potential role in tumor suppression and DNA damage repair mechanisms. Additionally, ZGPAT contains a C3H1-type zinc finger, further indicating ZGPAT′s involvement in RNA interactions. Notably, the gene encoding ZGPAT is subject to differential methylation in oligodendroglioma cell lines, suggesting ZGPAT′s potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnostics. Furthermore, ZGPAT exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to ZGPAT′s functional diversity in cellular processes.
