QUICK LINKS

Xaliproden hydrochloride is a full agonist at SR-1A receptors. Xaliproden hydrochloride increases motoneuron survival and promotes effects of NGF on neurite outgrowth in vitro. It displays neurotrophic activity in several neurodegenerative models in vitro. Xaliproden hydrochloride binds rat SR-1A with high affinity (ki - 2.0 nM) and is > 300-fold selective over other serotonin receptor subtypes (IC50 > 650 nM).
