SEE ALSO...

X11α Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects X11 alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-X11α antibody (A-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. X11 alpha protein plays a crucial role in regulating β-Amyloid precursor protein (β-APP), a significant component of amyloid plaques found in Alzheimer′s disease patients. X11α interacts with β-APP through its phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, effectively modulating β-APP processing and secretion. This interaction helps slow down pathways leading to amyloid-beta peptide production, which are implicated in neurodegeneration. Additionally, X11α binds specifically to β-APP′s YENPTY motif, a sequence essential for precursor protein internalization. Multiple splice variants of X11, including X11α (Mint 1), X11β (Mint 2), and X11γ (Mint 3), further highlight X11′s complex function and regulation in neuronal signaling pathways.
