X11α Antibody (A-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects X11 alpha protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-X11α antibody (A-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. X11 alpha protein plays a crucial role in regulating β-Amyloid precursor protein (β-APP), a significant component of amyloid plaques found in Alzheimer′s disease patients. X11α interacts with β-APP through its phosphotyrosine binding (PTB) domain, effectively modulating β-APP processing and secretion. This interaction helps slow down pathways leading to amyloid-beta peptide production, which are implicated in neurodegeneration. Additionally, X11α binds specifically to β-APP′s YENPTY motif, a sequence essential for precursor protein internalization.
