    WSCD1 Antibody (H-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects WSCD1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). WSCD1 (H-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. WSC domain-containing protein 1 (WSCD1) is a 575 amino acid single-pass membrane protein characterized by two WSC domains, which play a crucial role in cellular responses to stress and maintaining cell wall integrity. These domains are named after yeast proteins WSC1-WSC4, which are integral to cell wall integrity and stress response pathways. A WSC domain is a putative carbohydrate-binding domain spanning approximately 90 amino acids and contains eight conserved cysteine residues, which form disulfide bridges, enhancing structural stability. WSC domains in WSCD1 suggest involvement in various signaling pathways and interactions with proteins in LDL-receptor class A and C-type lectin families, essential for cellular communication and immune responses. WSCD1 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 17p13.2, highlighting evolutionary conservation and potential significance in health and disease.
