Datasheets
  • VSX1 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ VSX1 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 309-332 near the C-terminus of VSX1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of VSX1 L1 isoform of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for VSX1 Antibody (G-11) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with VSX1 Antibody (G-11) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

VSX1 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects VSX1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-VSX1 antibody (G-11) is available as the non-conjugated form. Visual system homeobox gene 1 (VSX1) plays a crucial role in retina and craniofacial structure development, making VSX1 essential for proper ocular development. VSX1 is predominantly located in the inner nuclear layer of the retina, where VSX1 is first detected in bipolar cells five days postnatal in mice. VSX1 expression in the retina is vital for retinal neuron differentiation and function, and VSX1 presence in embryonic craniofacial structures underscores VSX1′s importance in developmental biology. Additionally, human VSX1 gene, located on chromosome 20p11.21, encodes a 365 amino acid protein with five known splice variants, and VSX1 mutations are associated with corneal dystrophies such as posterior polymorphous dystrophy and keratoconus. VSX1′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in retinal signaling pathways further highlights VSX1′s significance in maintaining retinal health and function.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393699 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
