QUICK LINKS

Virstatin inhibits virulence regulation in V. cholerae. Virstatin prevents expression of cholera toxin and the toxin coregulated pilus (TCP) by inhibiting the transcriptional regulator ToxT. Virstatin may act to have a direct antiviral effect by preventing the virus from entering the cell and replicating.
