QUICK LINKS

Vinyl Carbamate is a potent promutagen. It is mutagenic to Salmonella typhimurium TA 1535 and TA 100 in the presence of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-fortified rat or mouse liver mitochondrial supernatant fractions. It is used as a reagent in organic synthesis and as an intermediate in the production of a variety of chemicals. It is also used as a catalyst in the production of polymers and as a stabilizer in the production of plastics.
