Vinclozolin is a colorless to white crystalline solid. It has a slight odor. It is soluble in water. It is a fungicide with antiandrogenic properties. As an anti-androgen it binds to receptors in the prostate and may act to have toxic effects on cells in vitro. Inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an important structural component of fungal cell membranes. Used as an analytical reagent for determination of fungicides.
