v-Myb/c-Myb Antibody (3H2747) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody engineered to detect both viral Myb (v-Myb) and cellular Myb (c-Myb) proteins, which are pivotal members of the Myb family of transcription factors. v-Myb and c-Myb proteins play essential roles in regulating the proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis of hematopoietic cells, making them critical for normal cellular function and development. v-Myb protein, derived from the avian myeloblastosis virus, functions as an oncogene by binding to specific DNA sequences and deregulating the expression of target genes, thereby promoting the onset of monoblastic leukemia and transforming myelomonocytic cells.
