UGRP1 Antibody (1B2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the UGRP1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-UGRP1 antibody (1B2) is available as a non-conjugated format. Uteroglobin-related protein 1 (UGRP1) is a 93-amino acid secretory protein predominantly expressed in lung Clara-like epithelial cells, with lower expression levels found in the thyroid. UGRP1 plays a crucial role in modulating inflammatory responses in the lungs, particularly in conditions such as allergic asthma and cystic fibrosis. UGRP1 interacts with the macrophage scavenger receptor with collagenous structure (MARCO), which may facilitate pathogen clearance in the lung environment. UGRP1 has a binding site for bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS), highlighting potential involvement in immune responses to bacterial infections. UGRP1 expression is downregulated in antigen-induced inflamed airways, suggesting a protective mechanism against excessive inflammation, while UGRP1 upregulation in cystic fibrosis indicates a complex role in lung pathology. Given involvement in these processes, UGRP1 may serve as a promising therapeutic target for various lung inflammatory conditions.
