Ubp-M Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Ubp-M of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ubp-M (B-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Ubiquitin-processing protease-M (Ubp-M) plays a crucial role in regulating protein degradation through its function as a deubiquitinating enzyme, which removes ubiquitin moieties from proteins tagged for degradation. This process is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, as it allows for protein recycling and regulation of various cellular pathways. Ubp-M is primarily localized in the cytosol and undergoes phosphorylation during the G2/M phase transition, which is essential for proper cell cycle progression. Ubp-M phosphorylation coincides with an increase in free ubiquitin chains and enhanced hydrolysis of ubiquitin-conjugated proteins, highlighting its role in modulating protein turnover dynamics. Ubp-M targets histone proteins H2A and H2B, which undergo monoubiquitination during interphase and anaphase, and deubiquitination during mitosis. This regulation of histone ubiquitination is critical for chromatin condensation during mitosis, indicating that Ubp-M influences both histone function and plays a significant role in orchestrating mitotic chromatin organization and cell growth progression.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with Ubp-M (B-3): sc-390683?

Asked by: jerojero
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
