Tyloxapol is a nonionic liquid polymer of the alkyl aryl polyether alcohol type. Tyloxapol is employed as a surfactant in bronchopulmonary studies of liquefaction and removal of mucupurulent secretions. It was synthesized in the 1960s and has been utilized in different scientific research applications.
