Tyloxapol is a nonionic liquid polymer of the alkyl aryl polyether alcohol type. Tyloxapol is employed as a surfactant in bronchopulmonary studies of liquefaction and removal of mucupurulent secretions.
Soluble in chloroform, benzene, toluene, water, and acetic acid.
