Tuba Antibody (MH-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects Tuba protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Tuba antibody (MH-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. Tuba, also known as Dynamin binding protein (DNMBP), is a crucial 1,577 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in cellular organization and function. Tuba protein is primarily located in the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cell junctions, and Golgi apparatus, where Tuba (MH-8) serves as a scaffold protein that links Dynamin with actin-regulating proteins, thereby facilitating protein trafficking between the Golgi and cell surface. This trafficking is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proteins reach correct destinations, which is essential for various cellular processes, including secretion and membrane dynamics. Tuba protein is expressed in multiple tissues, including kidney, heart, lung, liver, brain, pancreas, and skeletal muscle, highlighting Tuba′s importance in diverse physiological functions. Additionally, two isoforms of Tuba exist due to alternative splicing events, which may contribute to functional versatility. The gene encoding Tuba is located on human chromosome 10, a region that contains over 1,200 genes and is implicated in several genetic disorders, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2.
