Trophinin Antibody (clone 3-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Trophinin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Trophinin (clone 3-11) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. Trophinin, also known as TRO or MAGED3, is a crucial apical cell adhesion molecule that plays a significant role in embryo implantation by interacting with and forming a complex with Bystin and Tastin, thereby facilitating cell adhesion. Trophinin is predominantly located in the membrane of chorionic villi trophoblasts and maternal endometrial epithelial cells, with expression being dependent on implantation. Trophinin mediates cell adhesion between trophoblastic and endometrial epithelial cells through homophilic Trophinin-Trophinin binding, which is essential for successful implantation. Notably, Trophinin expression is induced by Choriogonadotropin β and interleukin-1 beta, and higher levels of Trophinin correlate with increased cell adhesion rates. Enhancing Trophinin expression could be a strategic approach to improve implantation rates, making Trophinin a protein of interest in reproductive biology. Additionally, Trophinin is found in macrophages and contains one MAGE (melanoma-associated antigen) domain, further highlighting diverse biological roles.

Are there any issues with using sc-80002: Trophinin (clone 3-11) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-80002 conjugates.
