TrkA Inhibitor is an oxindole compound that is a reversible and selective inhibitor of TrkA, a high affinity neurotrophin receptor. TrkA Inhibitor functions via targeting the kinase′s ATP binding pocket. Studies suggest that TrkA mediates Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), which increases differentiation in neurons. In addition, TrkA Inhibitor binds selectively to Cdk1 and cRaf1, proteins which regulate the cell cycle.
