QUICK LINKS

Triasulfuron is a herbicide that inhibits cell growth and prompts apoptosis. It is used as a pre- and post emergence sulfonyl urea herbicide for managing weeds in barley and wheat crops. Triasulfuron′s biological effects stem from its capability to bind to acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS), an enzyme that inhibits protein synthesis. Triasulfuron is also used as a sample preparation reagent due to its notable solubility in organic solvents, enabling its application in extraction and purification processes.
