    SEE ALSO...

TRF4 Antibody (2794C4a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRF4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-TRF4 antibody (2794C4a) is available as the non-conjugated format. TRF4, also known as topoisomerase-related function protein 4-1, POLS (polymerase sigma), POLK (polymerase κ), or LAK-1, plays a crucial role in DNA replication and repair, functioning as a member of the Y-family of translesion DNA polymerases. TRF4 (2794C4a) antibody recognizes a protein essential for facilitating DNA replication across damaged regions, thereby ensuring genomic stability. This function allows cells to bypass lesions that could otherwise stall replication forks, which can lead to genomic instability and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. TRF4 monoclonal antibody (2794C4a) targets a protein implicated in sister chromatid cohesion during DNA replication, ensuring proper attachment until anaphase for accurate chromosome segregation. TRF4 and associated exonucleases maintain genome integrity during cell division and DNA damage response.

I am using TRF4 (2794C4a): sc-81637 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
