TRF1 Antibody (TRF-78) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TRF1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). TRF1 Antibody (TRF-78) is available as the non-conjugated anti-TRF1 antibody (TRF-78) form. The telomeric repeat binding factor 1 (TRF1) plays a crucial role in maintaining telomere integrity by negatively regulating telomere elongation, which is vital for cellular aging and stability. Located at the ends of chromosomes, TRF1 interacts with telomerase, the enzyme responsible for adding repetitive nucleotide sequences to telomeres, thereby influencing cellular immortalization and senescence. By limiting telomere elongation, TRF1 helps prevent excessive cell division, which can lead to tumorigenesis. Additionally, TRF1′s structure includes an acidic N-terminus that is essential for binding affinity and regulatory functions at telomeres. The balance between TRF1 and TRF2, another telomere-binding protein, is critical; while TRF1 restricts telomere length, TRF2 protects chromosome ends from fusion, highlighting the importance of these proteins in genomic stability. Dysregulation of TRF1 expression in cancer cells can contribute to uncontrolled proliferation and malignancy, making TRF1 a significant target for research in cancer biology.

I am using TRF1 (TRF-78): sc-56807 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?
